retro recycling at its best

Back to being blogtastic in April and I'm starting off with this really awesome way of recycling!!! Lately, I've found myself being more aware of cool ways to be GREEN or conscious of my purchases and use of things and thought this was a really cool way to reuse tapes that you can no longer listen to.

I looked into these tape wallets after hanging out with Kai in Berlin. He has a music advertising company and this tape wallet seemed like a great card holder. When you work in the music industry and you go into your pocket to pull out your card and it's in a nylon zippered old skool tape...I think it's pretty dope and looked for one for myself.

Other than singing in the car (or now in Barcelona, singing as I walk or metro it to work) I don't deal with the music business per se but I thought it was an artistic way to express your love for vintage flavor, recycling and creative modernization of things past.

I sent an email to the designer of these amazing wallets (based out of Italy) only to wait idly by for no response. The one I wanted was of course sold out and what do you do when a an MC Hammer tape or Milli Vanilli tape runs out??? Well not much you can do because who else still has these things?

If anyone knows where I can get one...put me on, until then, any other creative ways to recycle the 90s you've heard about?
