I know that I am a person who is easily annoyed by people chewing loudly or with their mouths open, biting or as I would call it...gnawing on their nails, but there is another level of annoyance which is...the workplace. I can't imagine that I'm the only person in the entire world who thinks that "the cube" work environment is the most obnoxious non-human friendly, sanity stealer in all the world of 9-5. I love my co-workers, I really do but I really hate listening to other people clomping away on their keyboards until the keys almost pop off.
I was traumatized this morning to learn that my ipod was on all last night and I had no battery when I got to work to tune out the sounds of well...everyone else's noise. I'm sitting at my desk, in my cube with 5 other people. Why would ANYONE think it was a good idea to put 6 people basically at one desk??!!!
Am I the only person who hates cubes? If you know of any stories of people going completely insane from cube-life...please post!
